Communication

Much of the communication you receive from school comes via Bromcom, our management information system (MIS). This technology enables the school to send letters and messages directly to parents by email and text. These messages will be sent from the email address 13461@bromcomcloud.com. Please make sure you add this address to your email address book or approved sender list in order to prevent messages being blocked by your junk mail filters.

In addition, we use five separate platforms for different functions, as follows:

1. My Child At School (MCAS)

My Child At School (MCAS) is the main platform we use to share key information with you about your child's day-to-day life at school. This is where you will find information about your child's timetable and attendance, and where you can view the Kudos points awarded by subject teachers. Crucially, MCAS is the platform you use to view and download your child's grade card, containing information about performance in assessments and about Attitude to Learning. To set up your MCAS account, please follow the instructions in the document at the bottom of this page.

2. myEVOLVE

We use myEVOLVE to plan and manage trips, clubs and activities. This system provides parents and carers with the ability to:

  • view details of all of the trips, clubs and activities that their children are/have been involved in;
  • view, download and print information and letters relating to visits, clubs and activities that their children are involved in;
  • read, complete and submit consent forms;
  • make booking requests for trips, clubs and activities; and
  • make online payments for trips, clubs and activities.

We use myEVOLVE to send you details directly to the email address you have provided. Each message from us contains a secure link. While you can take action directly from those email invitations without logging in, you have the option to create a myEVOLVE account should you wish. Please click here to create and activate your account.

Once you have created an account you can download the myEVOLVE app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store and easily manage everything from your smart phone or tablet.

The EVOLVEshop allows parents and carers to browse and purchase items such as uniform, equipment, and tickets for events like the annual school production, as well as to make donations via the myEvolve mobile app or by clicking here. 3.  Satchel One

To view details of the homework that teachers have set your child, you use the Satchel One portal. You will be emailed joining instructions when your child enrols at Icknield. If you have difficulty in locating this information, or need to have your password reset, please email the IT Helpdesk.

4. SchoolGrid

SchoolGrid is the platform used by our catering provider, Dolce, to administer school lunches. This is the portal you use to add funds to your child's keyfob. You will be emailed joining instructions when your child enrols at Icknield. If you have difficulty in locating this information, or need to have your password reset, please email the Finance Office.

5. SchoolCloud

SchoolCloud is the platform we use for online parents' and carers' evenings. You are sent an email invitation to each event, giving clear instructions about how to book and join appointments. If you have difficulty in locating this information, or need to have your password reset, please email the IT Helpdesk.
