As we start the new term, we thought it would be helpful to provide some guidance on the best ways to contact the school.
Our Reception team is available between 8.00am and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time, and can be contacted by telephone on 01491 612691 or by email at office.4082@icknield.oxon.sch.uk.
If you are unable to get through by phone, please leave a message and a member of the team will return your call as soon as possible. For non-urgent enquiries, email is often the most effective way to get in touch.
Please note that teaching staff and members of the Leadership Team are generally unavailable during the school day as they are teaching or working directly with students. If you would like to speak with a member of staff, please contact us by email to arrange an appointment rather than visiting Reception without prior notice. This helps us ensure that the right person is available and able to give your enquiry the attention it deserves.
As students settle into the new term, we expect them to arrive at school with all the equipment they need for the day, including their Yondr pouch, Chromebook, PE kit and lunch, where applicable. We understand that things can occasionally be forgotten in the morning rush; however, to minimise disruption to learning, the only items that staff can deliver to students during the school day are essential medication and lunches.
Finally, if your child is unable to attend school, please report their absence by emailing absence@icknield.oxon.sch.uk, rather than contacting Reception.
