Guided Choices

The Guided Choices process is where our Year 9 students have the chance to select the three subjects that they would like to take forward into Years 10 and 11 as GCSE/BTEC qualifications (along with our compulsory core offerings in English, Maths, Science, PE and Citizenship). It therefore gives students the opportunity to choose those areas that they are especially interested in and motivated by, and as such provides a real opportunity for them to further own their learning.

To support them to make these choices, we strongly recommend that students and parents firstly watch our guidance video at https://youtu.be/wVugPDP4iTo before carefully reading through the information in our Guided Choices Booklet 2021. In here, they will find details about the process, and crucially also a page for each subject, complete with full details on course content and contact details for the course leader, should you want to contact them with a query about their curriculum.

Students must submit their three subject choices by Friday 26 February 2021 via the link to an online form on the Guided Choices Application 2021. Please be aware that this is not a first-come-first-served system.
